EGA Master has managed to reduce, for the third consecutive year, its carbon footprint by 12.51% compared to the last triennium (2019-2021), which has earned it recognition by the General Director, Aparicio Valvanera Ulargui, of the Spanish Office of Climate Change belonging to the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition.
EGA Master's commitment to sustainability is something intrinsic in its raison d'être, and proof of this has been the various projects carried out to reduce the carbon footprint.
Among them are the initiative to apply a circular economy system in packaging, which resulted in the reduction of their use by one ton per year. Such savings allowed him not only to reduce the generation of waste, but to convert them into resources, thanks to this circular economy scheme. Thus, the life cycle of these containers and packaging has been extended, contributing to the minimization of CO2 emissions from supply chains.
This achievement earned EGA Master, at the end of 2022, the recognition by the Community #PorElClima among the 10 + 10 business examples, within the SME category, for its initiative in the application of the circular economy in packaging.
In addition, in spring of this year EGA Master implemented a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 95 kW and an energy storage system of 60 kW, which will allow it to avoid the emission of 30.4 tons of CO2 per year. It should be noted that such an energy accumulation system allows to store excess energy generated during periods of peak production and use it when it is most convenient and efficient for your operations.
In short, these achievements that EGA Master has succeed in obtaining these magnificent results bring it closer to its goal of being a pioneer and reference company in the construction of a more sustainable and healthy production model for all.
