SASA Polyester, the leading producer of polyester fibers and specialty chemicals used in the textile, medical and packaging industries, based in Türkiye, has awarded us a supply contract for its project: the Yumurtalik Complex.
This new complex located in Adana (Eastern Turkey), the company's largest, is expected to be fully ready by 2032. It is planned to increase its capacity with upcoming plants, such as Ethylene Glycol Plant 1, Polypropylene Plant 1, Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) Plant, the first to be operational and the only one of its kind in a country, which used to be the third largest importer of PTA in the world.
The project also includes Ethylene Glycol Plant 2, Polyethylene Plant, PVC Plant, and Xylene Plant 2.
The products created include polypropylene, propylene, xylenes, PTA, ethylene glycol, among others.
The contractor for this project is Técnicas Reunidas, one of the leading international engineering companies that develops projects to respond to the needs of energy demand and environmentally friendly products for a wide spectrum of clients around the world.
The scope of the contract includes the engineering and comprehensive management of the supply of equipment and materials, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and testing of the plant.
