DROPS RECOMMENDATIONS: Securing Personnel (Part 2)

In the previous post we talked about the measures recommended by the DROPS organisation for securing personnel using tools weighing less than 5 kilos when working at height. Today we continue on how to secure operators when operating with tools above the above mentioned weight.

Accidents by Dropped Objects: More Common Than We Think

Accidents from dropped objects in workplaces are very common events and, in some cases, they end up with fatalities. Just in the United States, according to the most recent data, the number of casualties in accidents due to falling objects amounted to 255.

Dropped Objects: Causes and Risks

Dropped Objects continue to pose the greatest risk of serious injuries, fatalities and equipment damage in several industries worldwide. Similar statistics apply to leisure activities and home life too. Enter and read what a fallen object consists on, and what are the risks, their causes, that need to be prevent

The EGA Group Solutions For The Electric Vehicle

We have already seen how the electrification of road transport is gaining more presence in everyday life, from the technical improvements that have been made, and how the legislation is encouraging us to follow that path. We have also explained a bit how the EV maintenance and repair operations should be carried out. Today, we want to show you how we have prepared from the EGA Group to offer solutions in safety and efficiency for the tasks that involve the electric car.

Maintenance and Repair Operations of Electric Vehicles

In the previous post, it was indicated that, due to the technological features of electric cars, maintenance, and repair processes of these vehicles would change completely. In today’s post we talk about them.

The Rise of Electric Cars?

While the combustion engine car has been the star in the 20th century, it looks like the 21st century is going to be that of the electric car. The arrival of these vehicles could revolutionize not only the way mobility is conceived (and thus the expansion of a new recharge infrastructure to make its viability possible), but also the way in which those who are responsible for its manufacture, maintenance and repair work. Could it be like this? We’ll tell you below!

Non-sparking tools

Non-sparking tools are those that generate low energy sparks, always below the ignition limit of those dangerous substances (gas or dust) present in the environment. The tools are called “non-sparking” if the temperature of the sparks emitted is below the lower limit of ignition, and they are therefore safe for use in explosive atmospheres.

Explosive atmospheres and their risks. How can we approach them?

An explosive atmosphere is a mixture of flammable substances (whether in the form of gas, vapor, mist or dust) with air that, after ignition, lead to a combustion that spreads to the entire unburned mixture
